📈 TrendJack: 🍻 The Hotter The Weather, The Cheaper The Beer
🪝 The Hook: The UK's glimmer of sunshine ☀️ (& our obsession with the weather)
🏄♂️ The Campaign: When it comes to summer's promise of bright skies and sun tans, it's fair to say that we've been sold a little short here in the UK. To keep spirits high, BrewDog launched their aptly named 'Beerometer' campaign, which took place between the 22-28 August.
Areas across the UK were assigned a baseline temperature based on their weather in their region. Then, if the temperature rose above this, BrewDog promised to bring down the price of a Cold Beer by 25p per Celsius. Nice and simple.
💡 Why it matters: If there's one thing Britons love more than a cold beer on a hot day, it's complaining about the weather. We just can't help ourselves, can we?
This campaign was a novel and light-hearted way to play on the UK's national obsession with the weather, whilst using it to incentivise customers to rush to their closest BrewDog bar the second they see a bit of sun.
Nothing too flashy, just hotter weather = cheaper pints. Tidy.
